BANISHMENT SPELL

This is a spell for love gone wrong, for ending a personal, family or business
relationship that you no longer wish to be in.
It is a fire spell. To work it, gather herbs of protection and an image of the person
(photograph, poppet, etc.)
Something written in their own hand, a lock of hair, a piece of clothing or a personal
object will also do.
Put everything into a fireproof container - iron cauldron, marble mortar, whatever -
and set fire to it as you perform the spell.
It should make a very satisfactory blaze that reduces to ashes.
The ashes can be buried or washed down a drain.
Flush them down a toilet if you are very angry.
Dispose of all the objects that connect you to the person: gifts, letters, photographs, etc.
It is especially important to get rid of jewelry. Move house if you have to.
Be careful with this spell. It's permanent, so don't use it unless you really mean forever.
By the crimson and the gold
by basilisk and bloodstone
by the garlic in the fields
by the poppies and what they yield
invisibly I make my shield
to detect thee and deflect thee
and keep thy harm from me.
By dragon's blood and salamanders
by horses when their hooves strike sparks
by the dragon breathing flames
from the Book of Life I erase thy names
I cut the cords and unlock the chains
I sever all the ties by which we were bound
and with impenetrable walls myself I surround
against thy power and its source
against thy evil and its source
Vesta, Pele, Lilith
Kali Kali Kali
I banish thee forever from me
and any harm from thee to me
doubles back and tables turned
thou shalt by thyself be burned
Lilith, Vesta, Pele
Kali Ma Kali Ma
by the power of three times three
I banish thee, I banish thee, I banish thee
I am set free So mote it be!

Spell to Banish Personal Negativity

We have all from time to time experienced feelings and thoughts that there is a negative force around us. To banish these feelings you will need the bowl of water and the salt. Sprinkle some salt on the altar cloth and, using your finger or your Athame, say,

"I bless this salt to make it fit for these my rites. Blessed Be."

Now add a little salt to the water and hold the bowl up towards the sky. Visualize your past relative being present and say

"I ask ... (say the relative's name) to let this bowl be the receiver of all my negativity, so that I can cleanse myself and became whole again once more. Blessed Be."

Place the bowl down safely, dip the fingers and thumbs of both hands into the water, and visualize all your negative thoughts and feelings moving through your body, down through your arms and out of your hands into the water. As you do this be aware of yourself becoming lighter, of losing the weight that has been on your mind.

When you are sure that this is completed, remove your hands, shaking the last drops of water from them into the bowl. Take a moment to centre yourself once more, and again, holding the bowl up, say,

"I ask ... (say the late relative's name), to take this negativity through their power of the Elements to keep me safe in their hands. Blessed Be."

Now throw away the contaminated water into the earth, but not near any plants that you are trying to grow, or down the drain.

Banishing Oil

1/2 oz olive oil 7 drops pepper oil (add cayenne pepper to olive oil if you wish)

-10 drops peppermint oil - or peppermint essence from icing part of a grocers plus olive oil.

-12 drops of rue or rosemary oil. You can add rue or rosemary to olive oil and put in a warm place for 3 days and strain or buy the essential oil.

-Some crushed black peppercorns

-15 drops of pine oil or some pine needles stepped in olive oil for 3 days in warm place and strained. Or pine essential oil. - One obsidian or black onyx stone or a small black pebble.

Blend together in an eggcup and put In a clean brown or dark medicine bottle. Some of these oils are volatile. Do not anoint yourself with Banishing oil. You could burn yourself. Wash your hands after using. Charge the stone or stones used after adding it and focus on the person and your intent pouring in energy and emotion. As you dress the candles you make them your magical tools. Charge again as you massage away from you massaging in banishing oil from middle to the ends of the candle.

Banishing Spell to Stop Harm

This will protect without causing the person bound any harm. It is not a dark spell but a very potent protective one. You may use a different oil if you wish to use as a banishing oil. Rosemary may be substituted for Rue.

Materials: 1 black taper or image candle (gender depends on who you are trying to bind) nail black cloth a large piece of black cloth red ribbon cotton needle and thread Banishing oil loose tobacco A small mirror that can stand by itself If you can obtain hair or nail clippings from the person or a picture, you can use it in this spell.

Fold the felt in half and cut out a rough shape of the person you want to bind. Make the figure large enough so that you will be able to stuff it after you have sewn it together. Sew the pieces of the poppet together, leaving a hole through which you can stuff the poppet. Fill it with cotton and tobacco, and if you have the hair or nail clippings of the person, add those to it. Once it is filled, sew the opening closed.

If you have a picture of the person, staple or sew it to the front of the poppet. Next, care the name of the person onto the black candle with the nail and add these runes: Thuraz, Isa, Eihwas, a dark filled in circle to represent the dark moon, bars like you will see in a jail, and a widdershins (anticlockwise) spiral.

Anoint the candle and the poppet with the oil. Cast a circle, invoke the elements, God or Goddess you are working with. Light the altar candles. Light the black candle and adjust the mirror so that flame is reflected in the glass. Hold the poppet out in front of you and say:

"Creature of cloth thou art,

Creature of flesh and blood you be.

I name you (name of the person you are binding).

No more shall you do me harm.

No more shall you repeat false tales.

No more shall you interfere in my life, nor in the lives of my loved ones.

By the power of the Gods and by my will, So mote it be!"

Draw an invoking pentagram over the poppet. Now take the ribbon and begin to wrap the poppet like a mummy, leaving no space unwrapped. Say:

"I bind your feet from bringing harm to me.

I bind your hands from reaching out to harm me.

I bind your mouth from spreading false tales to harm me.

I bind your mind from sending energy to harm me.

If you do so continue, let all negative energy be cast and reflected directly at you!"

Tie off the ribbon and hold the poppet in front of the mirror while you visualize all negative energy this person has sent to you being reflected back at them. Wrap the poppet in the black cloth and tie with another length of ribbon. Say:

"Great Mother, I have bound this person

from harming me and my loved ones.

By the powers of three times three

By Earth and Fire, Air and Sea

I fix this spell, then set it free

Twill give no harm to return to me

As I will, So mote it be!"

Let the candle burn out while the poppet sits at its base, then take the poppet and the remains of the candle far from your home and bury it deep in the ground or toss it in the ocean and walk away without looking back.

Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram

The Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBR) is one of the chief rituals of
Western Magick. It has been with us at least since the Golden Dawn of the nineteenth
century, and it has penetrated into all the many Golden Dawn spinoffs, including
Neo-Paganism. Yet there is still no widely available, clear instruction. The directions of
the magical orders are mere mnemonics for those who are assumed to have personal
instructors. To formulate my personal approach to the ritual, to aid any others who may
be considering practicing the LBR, and to satisfy the idle curiosity of any gawking
onlookers, I have put together this short discussion of the ritual and its symbolism and
performance.

A. Intent of the Ritual
Ritual is a form of moving meditation and the LBR is a tool to facilitiate meditation. The
real action of a magick ritual takes place in the mind, in my view, but not all ritualists
would agree. Many would say that the effect of the LBR is to create a fortified and
cleansed area on the astral plane, which they think is as real as Hoboken, if not more
so. It doesn't really matter in practice as the only effect we know is the one in our
perceptions.

The experience of a proper LBR is pleasurable and soothing, yet energizing and
empowering. One is made at home in the mystical realm, protected from lurkers and
phantasms by strongly imagined wards. This solace from mundane experience is a
precondition for more serious works of meditation or ritual, but it can also form a healthy
part of the life of the mind by itself.

B. The Ritual
I'll just reprint the description of the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram from Liber
O, a publication of the occult order A.·. A.·.

i. Touching the forehead say Ateh (Unto Thee),
ii. Touching the breast say Malkuth (The Kingdom),
iii. Touching the right shoulder, say ve-Geburah (and the Power),
iv. Touching the left shoulder, say ve-Gedulah (and the Glory),
v. Clasping the hands upon the breast, say le-Olahm, Amen (To the Ages,
Amen).
vi. Turning to the East, make a pentagram (that of Earth) with the proper weapon
(usually the Wand). Say (i.e. vibrate) IHVH.
vii. Turning to the South, the same, but say ADNI.
viii. Turning to the West, the same, but say AHIH.
ix. Turning to the North, the same, but say AGLA.
[Pronounce: Ye-ho-wau, Adonai, Eheieh, Agla.]
x. Extending the arms in the form of a cross say,
xi. Before me Raphael;
xii. Behind me Gabriel;
xiii. On my right hand Michael;
xiv. On my left hand Auriel;
xv. For about me flames the Pentagram,
xvi. And in the Column stands the six-rayed Star.
xvii-xxi. Repeat (i) to (v), the "Qabalistic Cross."

C. Preliminary Acts
There are a number of necessary preconditions in any cleansing ritual. Not the least
important are the physical conditions.

It's not a good idea to just launch into this thing from a standing start. You should start by
evacuating any bodily wastes. Heavy food in the digestive tract is bound to interfere, so
don't pig out right before practice. If your nose is clogged, clear it. (There are some
gross yogic techniques for doing this if necessary.) Remove any serious muscle
tensions; I do this in two ways, by stretching and by sitting quietly for a few minutes. If
you do hatha yoga, this would be a good time to sit in a pose like vajrasana or lotus.

It's best to bathe or shower first, and put on special clothes worn only during ritual, but
those are optional considerations.

It's very useful to have a room in your home that is either set aside for ritual, or can be
transformed into a suitable room readily. In 1984, I shared my ritual room with my lover,
who uses it for typing. This was a fortunate arrangement, since we both want the room to
be simple, uncluttered, and non-distracting, and all I had to do is hide the typewriter and
throw a cloth over the desk. If you can't arrange something like that, make sure you at
least have enough free floor space in the center of the room you're using for freedom of
movement.

D. Ritual Gestures
You should refer to the ritual above while reading this section.

The "Qabalistic Cross"

The "Qabalistic Cross" (steps i-v) is a self-consecration. The magician becomes a
sanctified instrument for the execution of the rest of the ritual. This can't be an empty
exercise; linger on each phrase for as long as it takes to form some strong, albeit brief
concentration on the meaning.

Think of the short prayer of the Qabalistic Cross as a baptism, using light rather than
water. Imagine that your body has "centers" which you are bringing to life by anointing
them with your hand. There are five such "centers". At the end of the Cross, remain for a
moment in that posture, upright, hands clasped, feeling the Cross within yourself,
yourself as the Cross. This should bring on a purified perception of the body.

The Cross addresses a second person, a "thee". Who is this mysterious person?
"Thee" is your own "higher self", by some readings. If you prefer monotheistic
symbolism, read "God[dess]" for "thee". Even for monotheists, the consecration is of
yourself, although "by the power of God". The two symbolisms can be mapped easily
onto each other; it's an issue of God within or God without.

The "vanilla" version of the Cross is not what most Thelemites use. Instead, go "Atoh"
(touch brow), "Aiwass" (touch breast), "Malkuth" (touch genitals), and then the arms as
normal. "Aiwass who?" That's a name Crowley's Holy Guardian Angel called itself by. If
you attain to the Knowledge and Conversation of your Holy Guardian Angel (as it is so
quaintly called), use its name instead of Aiwass. Don't expect this attainment to happen
tomorrow or next week; inthe Golden Dawn and Thelema, it's a major attainment, the
center of the path. But then, you're the only real judge of it.

The Banishing Pentagram of Earth
This pentagram is a five pointed star, point up. To draw it, start from the lower left-hand
corner (your left), go up to the top point, and continue from there. The index finger is a
common tool for drawing the stars; it's a very natural way of writing symbols in the air. A
good wand can be hard to find.

Note that you do not draw the stars at the end of your finger, but project them outwards
as if your finger was a laser, with the stars being drawn by the beam onto an outlying
vertical plane - perhaps a few inches short of the wall, or on the wall, or just in a
convenient expanse of air. Over time I've come to draw them at the outermost reaches
of space, at the thrones of the Guardians of the Watchtowers at the four quarters of the
earth, in the flat-earth Christian cosmology employed by the Renaissance magicians
Dee and Kelley. This approach sanctifies the entire earth rather than just the room.

Drawing the pentagram will be easy or hard for you, depending on whether you are
good at visualization. I'm not, so it's hard. (I'm getting better with practice, though.)
Ideally, the stars should be of flame, drawn in the air, but early on a faint outline is no
cause to complain. It's not a good idea to use drugs to increase your visualization
abilities on a routine basis. If you are experienced with drugs, it may be useful to employ
them for an LBR every once in a while just to show you what it could be like.

The pentagram can be a potent symbol. Recall Leonardo's image of the microcosm,
i.e., the individual human. The central pentagon represents the torso, the top point the
head, the other four points the limbs.

For a religious humanist, the individually named pentagrams are essentially aspects of
the higher self, given life/breath by the vibrations of the god-names. For a theist, the
pentagrams are anthropomorphic manifestations of deity, summoned by the vibration of
god-names.

The Vibration of God-Names
In the LBR, the vibration of the god-names "charges" or "enlivens" the pentagrams in the
air. This is difficult to describe, but easy to recognize. There is a feeling of presence in
one of these charged warding images - though not necessarily a feeling of true
externality or separate intelligence.

We are told to "vibrate" the names. The description and illustration of the "vibration"
given in Liber O have been known to mislead people into hilarious postures. What the
picture most resembles is the skulking monster from the movie The Mummy. To the
modern eye, it is remarkable how truly unclear a photograph can be.

I didn't learn how to vibrate a god-name until I signed up with yet another occult order
and was taught it in person. I wouldn't wish membership in an occult fraternity on anyone,
so here is a description which I hope will be adequate in print.

Vibration phase i - The Sign of the Enterer (1-4)
1. Stand upright. Blow all the air out of your lungs. Hold your arms straight out at your
sides.
2a. Close your eyes and inhale nasally, imagining that the breath is the name. The exact
nature of this imagination differs from person to person. Thus, you imagine yourself
inhaling the name into your lungs.
2b. As you inhale, sweep your forearms smoothly and deliberately up so that your fists
rest on your temples.
3. Imagine the breath moving down through your torso slowly, and through your pelvis,
your legs, and finally to the soles of your feet. (Don't do this so slowly that you are hurting
for air when the name reaches your feet!)
4a. The instant the inhaled vibrational name hits the soles of your feet, imagine it rushing
back up and out.
4b. Simultaneously, throw yourself forward, thrusting your left foot forward about twelve
inches (or thirty centimeters) and catching yourself on it. Your hands shoot forward,
together, like a diver or like Superman taking flight. You bend forward at the waist so
that your torso winds up parallel to the floor.
4c. The air in your lungs should be blown out through your nose at the same time, but
imagine the name shooting out straight ahead.

Steps 3-4 are known as the Sign of the Enterer, or of Horus. This symbolizes powerful
active energy. The Enterer should be something of a "rush". The vibrational name is
projected outwards into more tangible manifestation - in this case, in the pentagrams of
the LBR, which are charged by the force of the projected god-names.

Vibration phase ii - The Sign of Silence (5)
5. Finally, withdraw into a standing position, left arm hanging at your side, right
forefinger on lips, left foot pointing ninety degrees out from the body.

Step 5 is called the Sign of Silence, or of Harpocrates. This Egyptian god was
mistakenly believed (at the turn of the century) to pertain to silence, because his finger
or thumb was touching his lips. This gesture is now believed to be a symbol of
childhood; this correction appears in the World card of Crowley's Book of Thoth Tarot
deck. Harpocrates was the god of the Sun at dawn, and so symbolizes wonder, beauty,
potential, growth. So, step 5 may be done in this academically corrected light instead.

However, the "hush" gesture of the Golden Dawn Sign of Silence is adequate for the
modern occultist, even if deprived of A Divine Identification. It is a common gesture, at
least in European/American culture, meaning silence. Silence balances the ultra-active
Sign of the Enterer better than does the more scholarly positive/active "Sign of
Harpocrates the Rising Sun", and silence is surely no alien concept to mystics.

You'll note that "Ye-ho-wau" is given as the pronunciation of YHWH. Modern scholarship
has a different take on the pronunciation of the Big Guy's name. I use "Yahweh" rather
than the "Ye-ho-wau" of Liber O because that's what the Catholic priests of my youth
taught me to say, and I've never been able to shake it off. Use whatever pronunciation
you prefer, or a different name altogether.

The Invocation
The pentagrams are given form by the drawing, life by the vibration, identity by the
four-part prayer of steps (x) to (xiv). Some people do very elaborate visualizations of
angelic guardians on each of (xi) to (xiv). Because of my tragic personal deficiencies, I
am content with strong feelings of presence, identity, and divinity in each of the four
directions.

A horizontal cross is built up step by step as you say, "Before me Raphael", etc, with
you at the center; and the position of your arms forms a vertical cross, a renewal of the
Qabalistic Cross from the start of the ritual. You may feel a peculiar rising and
expansion when both of these crosses are formulated. One has become the center of
the geometry of the space, and it is like a world in itself, cut adrift from the mundane
currents of everyday experience.

Steps (xv) and (xvi) are when the real banishing takes place, during "For about me
flames the pentagram, and in the column stands the six-rayed star." A great pulse of
force is emitted during these steps, imposing the personal will on the space and
clearing it of all hostile influences.

After this is done, the invoked "archangels" maintain the banishing effect, guarding in all
four directions. Of course this talk of angels is nonsense - the importance lies in the
psychological effect. Whether there "really is" an archangel standing there keeping out
inimical spirits is not important. The "feeling of cleanliness" is what matters.

Concluding Cross
The final Qabalistic Cross is an affirmation of the completeness and symmetry of the
ritual, and also a new self-consecration. This is more efficacious than the previous
Cross because it is done in a banished environment.

E. Comments on the Ritual
With practice, you will no doubt come up with your own style of performance, and your
own different symbolism for ritual acts. Different people do rituals as differently as actors
play parts, even though the lines and motions may be fundamentally the same. (The
alternative is an authoritarian, dogmatic horror which is alien to the deep occult
understanding of religion, but is still common in magical groups.) Slavish imitation will
get you nowhere in Magick - except, perhaps, to a high spiritual degree in some
parochial in-group!

The Christianity - or at least angelic monotheism - of the ritual symbolism may give
pause to some. Many of us involved in occultism have negative feelings about
Christianity. These may be somewhat justified, but there are a few saving graces here.

First, as with any ritual, you should feel free to make it yours, to mess around with it. If
you don't start to at least play with the styles of a ritual after a while, you are probably not
doing it very well. It is perfectly legitimate to substitute cognate symbols at any time.
However, the saying in the martial arts is that one first learns another's style, and after
mastering it, moves on to create one's own. For a beginner, it will be easiest simply to
use an existing ritual form in order to explore the meaning of a banishing ritual.

Given experience with the ritual, which transcends any mere set of symbols, one may
devise a form more in keeping with the emergence of one's personal style. For
instance, Neo-Pagans use various highly reified forms of the same basic ritual in many
of their traditions, but with non-Christian deities, spirits, and heroes at the quarters.
Aleister Crowley wrote a new version, the Star Ruby, which used the names of deities
and officers from his "Thelemic" system rather than monotheist gods and angels.

In any case, of those people who abhor Christianity, how many have looked at some of
the practices of historical pagans in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas? No
religion should ever be "accepted" by an occultist. When using any religion's symbolism,
the adept should cut to its sacred poetical core, and discard the political dross. By this
standard, Christianity looks hardly better or worse than any other religion. Without this
selection process, and by factoring in historical excesses and power plays, almost all
known religions look as bad as Christianity. In other words, those who happily use
Norse gods, Arthurian heroes, Taoist immortals, Voudoun loas, or what have you in
rituals, but never touch a Christian angel, are guilty of the same narrowness they impart
to the Christians.

Having performed the banishing ritual, one is now ready to do a formal invocation, an
evocation, a meditation, or whatever the overall spiritual purpose may be. The LBR is a
preliminary ceremony, although it has a beneficial effect in itself. It can profitably be
done as a stand-alone ritual, but you should move on. Its mastery is a first step to
adepthood.

Banishing Spell

The idea is to relax in your personal meditational spot - you know where it's nice, cozy, silent and you're sure not to be disturbed for at least half an hour, and build up some Zee Energy. Burn some frankincense or copal incense or whatever works for you.

When you think you've reached a highly charged, powerful state envision a cone of power going counter-clockwise (for banishing) like a cyclone above your house, slowly bring the cone down into your house and envision all the little nasty energies being taken up into the cyclone squealing and kicking and being enveloped by the giant cone.

Drive the cone down below your house and deep into the earth, using the earth's magnetic field to rise through the cone and clear out all the little nasty creatures and energies. Once you are sure nothing is clinging, when you feel that the earth energy has cleared it, take the cone back up into your house and go through the process again, a little bit stronger and more determined this time, so as any smart little things can be washed out in the "rinse cycle".

Again, plunge the cone deep into the earth and clear it again. When it has cleared, allow the cone rise out of your house, high into the sky, and disperse into the sunshine.

Relax and feel the positive energy and the lack of negativity in your house. Focus now on positive thoughts and the things that you love. All is well.

Personal Banishing and Resolutions

Now is the time to banish the things that you want that you want to to carry over to the New Year, bad habits and addictions, unkind feelings toward others, unkind feelings toward yourself...
You will have already prepared your written list... Light a black candle and burn it, asking the God/dess to help you get rid of these and all negative things in your life. If you prefer, you can use a cauldron to burn your list of banishment's and resolutions. Invoke your deities about your sincere wish to remove these things from your life using a banishing Chant or Spell...

Take MY burdens from my mind
Leave afflictions far behind
Help ME ease my irksome strife
And bring forth Balance to MY LiFE
Chant whilst buning your list of woes and vices in the flame of a Black Ritual Candle or your Cauldron.

Now you should speak to your deities about those things you want to bring into your life in the New Year.

Asking the deities for future rewards should be accompanied by resolutions as to how you will accomplish your goals. They will help you if you are sincere in your efforts to help and heal yourself by making the nessesary Sacrifices. When considering your requests, take the time to set them out in prose and rhyme.

Banish Bad Luck and Open The Way For Good Luck

If you think bad luck is following you or you feel cursed, now is the time to blow all the bad luck out of your life. If you think you have been hexed or the evil eye has looked on you, March is the time to let the wind roar around you and chase all the bad luck away from you. By April you will feel as happy as a lamb kicking up his heels for joy.

This spell can be done any time of the year one week after any full moon, but it is strongest in March one week after the full moon.

On the night of the full moon place the two crystal quartz, two sodalite and one carnelian and three pinches of sea salt in the clear glass bowl and leave them in the light of the full moon. You can put them outside or on a windowsill (don't worry if there are clouds, the moon's ray will still energize the stones). In the morning put the bowl, with all the items still in it, in a safe and dark place (such as your closet). Leave the bowl and the items it contains for one week.
Arrange a clean place for an altar where you will do your ritual. Put the white candle and black candle in holders and put the white one on the right and black one on the left of the altar with matches and the bag powered ginger between the two candles. One week after the full moon, anytime between the hours of 8PM and 11PM, take out the bowl with the gemstones and salt and put it in the middle your altar. Stir the contents of bowl three times with your right hand. Take the 2 sodalite to rub your body with them while in a shower or bath, after you have used soap to clean your skin and shampoo to wash your hair.
Hold one sodalite in your right hand and one in your left hand.

As you rub your clean body with the sodalite in your right hand (start at the top of your head and work down to the bottom of your feet) say and repeat until you have finished rubbing the bottom of your feet:

Negative vibrations,
Bad influences,
Things of evil and wickedness
Enter this stone and be held forever.

As you rub your clean body with the sodalite in your left hand (start at the bottom of your feet and work up to the top of your head) say and repeat until you have finished rubbing the top of your head:

This body flows with positive energy
This body flows with good influences
This body is pure and free of any evil
And wickedness cannot be here.

Dry yourself with a white bath towel. Dress in only a solid colored robe. Take your sodalite and place them in the middle of your altar.

Light the white candle and say:

This fire will burn negative vibrations,
This fire will burn bad influences,
This fire will burn evil and wickedness
From my home forever.

Light the black candle and say:

This fire will attract positive energy,
This fire will bring good influences,
This fire will turn my luck to good
And keep the bad from me.

Take both crystal quartz out of the bowl, one in each hand. Hold crystal quartz above the flame of each candle (far enough away from the flame so you will not burn yourself) and say:

Power of fire
Burn into these crystals
My declaration that banishes all bad
And brings only good to me and this house.

Place the crystal quartz in front of each candle.
Take the carnelian in you left hand and as you pass it above first the white candle and then the black candle say:

With this stone I am determined
That my proclaimed changes
Are now achieved.

Put the two sodalite and the carnelian back in the salt and pour the powered ginger over them. Stir the items in the bowl three times with your left hand as you say:

The pack is made,
The bad is gone,
Good luck is mine.

Both crystal quartz must now be buried north of your home. One sodalite will be buried west of your home and the other east of your home. The carnelian you will keep with you, either in your purse or in your left pocket. Take the ginger and sea salt mixture and pour it along the south of your home. (If you live in an apartment or place where you can't bury the stones, then take them to the said point, north, east and west and throw the stones as far as you can. Toss the ginger and sea salt mixture to the south.)

The change is now in place.

Cleansing Rowan Moonstone

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I cleanse a dwelling place, first I burn a good cleansing incense, like frankincense or sandalwood in the home while I prepare for the rest of the ritual. You should have in addition to the incense, a candle, a bowl of salt water and a bowl of herbs. I particularly like to use rose buds for love, lavender for preservation, rosemary for protection, and any other sweet smelling ones that appeal to you personally. If you can get them home grown, so much the better. You should proceed around the house, widdershins (counter clock wise) and cleanse the area with the salt water. Be sure to get each corner, window, door, drain, etc. Simply sprinkle a little salt water on each and ask that any evil or disruptive influences leave the place. When this is finished, proceed around the house deosil (clockwise) sprinkling the blessing herbs and invoke whatever deities or properties you wish on the home, such as peace prosperity, tranquillity, etc. In the past, I have used 3 candles on the central altar. Blue, symbolizing tranquillity, green for healing and prosperity, and purple for protection. Others might be pink for love, or brown for hearth and home. You and anyone who is to share the home with you should share food and drink, and don't forget to leave a little of the food and drink to take outside and return to the Earth that which has been given.

Blessed Be. Rowan

Do A Banishing Spell Today

In Japan, today is celebrated as Setsubun. A Japanese celebration ritual designed to drive away the evil spirits of winter in preparation for the spring. Home-owners walk through their house scattering beans into the corners to drive out any demons hiding there. The beans are saved and eaten at the first clap of thunder in the spring. Pointed branches graced with sardine heads are placed over doorways to keep the demons from returning.

In temples and shrines through out Japan, purification rituals are performed to expel the sins of the people.

"Oni-wa-soto,
Devils out!
Fuku-wa-uchi,
Good fortune in!"

This cry can be heard in homes and at temples and shrines around the country to mark the end of the old lunar calendar and herald the new. It is also a ritual to drive away evil spirits.

Each temple has its own way of purging evil from the land. Some temples perform spectacular stage battles between the oni (demons) and the defenders of good, while others invite well-known personalities such as sumo wrestlers and actors to scatter roasted soybeans into the crowd. Many temples simply hold services.

The bean throwing, in some cases rather boisterously, represents the sowing of seeds and the new growth that this brings forth. It has become common practice for well-known personalities born under the Chinese zodiacal sign for that year to be invited to throw out beans as a means of soliciting visitors.

This is a great day to do some bean throwing of your own, and working banishing spells, cleansing spells, and ritual bathing. You could even do something as simple as cleaning and then sweeping your house all the while chanting, "Devils out, Good fortune in."

Get Rid of Anger Spell

You Will Need:

This spell needs to be done alongside flowing water - in a private corner surrounded by bushes at the side of a stream. You will also need a black stone

Procedure

Create your circle. Cup a black stone in your hands and raise it to your forehead, concentrate and send all your anger into the stone. Do this for as long as you can until you can do it no longer, then hurl the stone with all your might into the water and say:

"With this stone
Anger be gone
Water bind it
No-one find it!"

Place your palms upon the earth for a few moments to ground the power and allow your circle to fade. Now go home and take care of yourself for you may feel depleted for a while, but you will be better soon. Alternatively, you may feel great straight away.

Banishing Grief Spell

This spell is said to help one let go of painful feelings of grief. It is for those times in life when it seems impossible to feel joy again, such as after losing someone close to you.

Items Needed:

A smoky quartz gemstone
Bowl of water
Three tablespoons of sea salt
The Spell:

Begin by holding the stone in your power hand. See your grief in your mind's eye. Visualize the grief moving from within yourself and through your hand to the stone. As you do this, say:

Banishing stone,
Fill yourself with my grief,
so that I may feel joy again,
So be it, blessed be!

Stirring counterclockwise, mix the sea salt into the bowl of water, then add the smoky quartz stone. Swish the stone around three times in a counterclockwise motion. Leave the stone in the water for a few minutes, then take the stone outside and safely throw it as far as you can away from yourself.

Knot Spell

To rid yourself of problems or a troublesome situation.
Take cotton yarn in the appropriate color of the problem (green for money, red for love, etc) and pour out your fears and problems in to the yarn.
Tie it up in knots to symbolize how "tied-up" you feel.
Take it outside and let the wind blow it away along ...with your negativity.
Go back inside and take a ritual bath or shower cleansing.
Best done during the full moon

To Break Up a Couple

To Break Up a Couple
You will need:
1 Lemon
1 bottle Break Up or any Confusion, Revenge, Black Arts type Oil
1 bottle Break Up any Confusion, Revenge, Black Arts type Powder
1 bottle Crossing Powder
1 jar of Break Up Incense
Ginea Pepper,
Cayenne Pepper or Red Pepper Flakes
9 Needles with the eyes busted
1 yard of black fabric
1 Roll of Cotton Twine
Incense Burner
Charcoal
Break Up Jar Candle or Nine Black Offertory Candles
Brown paper
Black Ink Pen
Red Ink Pen
Personal Concerns of both Parties
6 Aspirin tablets
Holy Water
A piece of Steel Wool or SOS pad
Empty, clean glass Jar
1 Bottle of Four Thieves Vinegar

Timing:
This work should be performed during the waning moon - during the hour of Mars.

Directions:
Anoint the jar candle or nine offertory candles with your oil and then blow both powders and the pepper onto each candle to dress them.

Cut two squares of brown paper slightly larger than the diameter of the lemon (the fattest portion in the middle). Write the names of both individuals nine times on their own piece of brown paper. Use black ink for the one you want to go away and red ink for the one you want to stay with you. When you are finished carefully rip the edges of the paper so they edges are rough sided.

Beginning at the hour of Mars, light the jar candle or one offertory candle. Ignite your charcoal and burn 1 teaspoon of Break Up Incense.

Cut the lemon in half down the middle. Pick up the first half of the lemon. Insert the personal item of the person it will represent into the flesh of the lemon. Sprinkle it with Holy Way and say:

"I Baptise you as [Name of Target herein known as Susie Smith] in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. From Now on you will be known as [Susie Smith]."
Repeat this process with the other half of the lemon, targeting the second person [herein known as Jimmy Jones] in the relationship.

Now pick up the first lemon and insert three Aspirin into the flesh. As you do say,

"[Susie Smith], your relationship with [Johnny Jones] will sour. Every time you are in his presence a sour taste will come into your mouth."
Repeat this process with the second half of the lemon. This time state,

"[Johnny Jones], your relationship with [Susie Smith] will sour. Every time you are in her presence a sour taste will come into your mouth."
Next take each name paper and put an X across the name using your thumb. Make a statement of your intentions. For instance, if you are using Confusion oil you might state,

" I Cross you with the Spirit of Confusion, so that every time you are together nothing but confusion and strife will result".
Sprinkle each X on each paper with the two powders and the peppers. Make a statement on your intentions each time you apply a new ingredient. In the end, each name with be crossed with an oil and three dry ingredients.

Now take each name paper and place it on the respective lemon. Susie Smith's paper on her lemon half, etc. Make sure the name is facing out.

Put the two lemon halves back together with a small piece of steel wool or SOS pad between them.

Begin to insert the nine needles around the lemon - to hold the lemon halves together. As you insert the needles, curse the couple nine times - letting them know what will happen to them if they do not separate. You can get as severe here as you choose. You might wish them bad luck at work or that they get a rash, ill, etc.

Once completed, wrap the lemon in the black fabric and begin binding it with the cotton twine. As you wrap the lemon, tie the twine in nine knots. Leave enough twine to form a loop for hanging the lemon.

Once wrapped, suspend the lemon over the candle. For the next eight days, smoke the lemon in incense and then suspend it over the candle, repeating the nine "curses" you put on the couple. Remind them the only way to end their bad luck is to break up or separate. Each night place the remaining candle wax and ash in a jar.

After nine days, cut off the twine and fabric from the lemon. Remove the nine needles and separate the lemon. Remove the name paper and lemon half of the person you desire and bury it in your yard in a place where the sun does not shine - like under the house or a bush.

Place the lemon half and name paper of the one you want to leave in the glass jar with the nine needles, Steel wool and all the candle wax and ashes from incense. Fill the jar with 4 Thieves vinegar. Wrap the jar in the black fabric and once again tie it up with twine, making nine knots as before.

Go to a moving water source like a river, creek or stream and throw the jar over your left shoulder. Call the person by name and command them to leave. Walk away and don't look back.

You will most likely want to do a cleansing bath and candle after this work as it is an enemy trick.

Incense Magic

When incense is burned prior to magical workings, fragrant smoke also purifies the altar and the surrounding area of negative, disturbing vibrations. Though such a purification isn't usually necessary, it, once again, helps create the appropriate mental state necessary for the successful practice of Magic. When the incense is smoldered in a ritual setting it undergoes a transformation. The vibrations, no longer trapped in their physical form, are released into the environment. Their energies, mixing with those who use them, speed out to effect the changes necessary to the manifestation of the Magickal goal.
You needn't limit incense use to ritual, but avoid burning healing incense just for the smell, or to freshen up your stale house. Burning magickally constructed and empowered incenses when they're not needed is a waste of energy. If you wish to burn a pleasant-smelling incense, compound a household mixture for this purpose.

Anti-Stalker Spell

This is a very simple spell that is bound to get rid of any stalker, any one who causes harassment, or simply is being a pain in the ass.

All you need is a picture of that person. If that's not available then any thing that belongs to him/her. Or you can even choose a place where he spends most of his/her time, like the chair, couch or even the door of the house where the person lives. For the sake of reference we will call the door, the picture or what ever is chosen as the "dummy"

Summon all your hate
All, your anger,
All you your emotions!
Let all that has been bothering
you as a result of this person
be replayed in your mind!
Then just
SPIT!!!
on the "dummy".

Ill luck is sure to visit this person shortly and will occupy his/ her mind in such a way that he/ she will no longer be a bother for you.
I repeat!! REMEMBER the warning!!
The curses like these are very easy to cast. They have an instant effect. If the curses are misused, they will back fire!
What ever you send out-
you get it back-
And its back times three!
