Prayer to Keep a Soldier Safe

Warrior Sun, up in the sky

I ask that You now cast Your eye

Upon (name of soldier) now at war

And keep him/her under the radar

Of Your watch and in Your sigh

Grant his/her safety day and night

And when he/she feels a sense of dread

Help him/her calmly use his/her head

Grant him/her mental safety, too

And bring to him/her an avenue

To relieve emotional stress

And prevent undue duress

'Til his/her mission is complete

And once again, he/she feels sweet

And warm embrace of his/her loved ones

Far from the sounds of war and guns

This I ask you, Warrior Sun

As I will, so be it done.
